Siya's pov

Tomorrow is my roka so everybody is busy in preparation. The whole palace has decorated like a bride, it seems like tomorrow is my marriage instead of roka.

Baba sa and bhai sa both are busy in preparation of welcome to my in laws and place decoration. On my wish They agreed to take roka privately and simply.

Maa sa and bhabhi sa both are busy in preparation of food, choosing clothes and jewellery for tomorrow. Devika is also helping them but i have nothing to do because i am bride.

I am all alone in my room. I have nothing to do so i am admiring beauty of my room and garden since yesterday, what can i do now.

They all have selected variety of sweets, spicy dishes, and so many other dishes for tomorrow.

whole house is totally looking like a wedding house but this is only my roka. I don't know what they will do for wedding.

I have written a latter for my rana sa, i will give him after marriage when i will feel right time.

I haven't seen him, I don't even know him, yet I keep thinking about him again and again.May be right now He is unknown for me not for my heart. After hearing knock on the door, I came out from my thought.

"Yes come in," i said.

"Princess, maharani sa and rani sa is calling you into the liliving room," one maid inform me.

"Ok you go, i am coming," i reply.

I have to hide this letter in a safe place because i don't want anybody to read it except rana sa.

Now i am ready to go, when i take stape out from my room, I am surprise to see beautiful decoration all over the place.

In living room my whole family is present and now everybody is seeing toward me.

"Princess come here, we were waiting for you," bhai sa said.

Everybody is looking very happy, this moment is to precious for me.

Then i sit beside bhai sa, we all are sitting around a table on the chair.

"Siya we have selected some lenhga and jewellery for tomorrow, so take a look and tell us which one you like," bhabhi sa said.

Now Everybody is waiting for me to choose but it's difficult to choose one out of best collection.

"I cannot choose, you all have to help me. I am very confuse," i said.

Ok, maa sa said

"Ok i have one idea, we will try every lenhga one by one and whichever will look best on you that will final," bhai sa suggest.

"Ok it's a perfect idea," i reply.

I am standing infront of everybody and bhai sa and bhabhi sa is trying every lenhga one by one.

It's a third lenhga but Every time, Everybody is rejecting every lehenga.

"It is also not looking good," bhai sa said it was forth lenhga.

"You all have already rejected four lenhga out of five still nothing is looking good," i said while laughing.

"Ok ok siya let's try fifth one," bhabhi sa.

"Yes, it is looking very pretty," everybody said together.

Fifth one is a yellow lenhga which is really very pretty than others. I also like it.

"It will look perfect on you princess," bhai sa said.

"Yes bhai sa i like it very much so it's final and what about you all, what you all are going to wear tomorrow, " i said happily.

"We all have already selected our outfit for tomorrow," bhaibhi sa said.

"Ok now we have to select jewellery then we have to do lot's of work," maa sa said.

"Siya see this bangles," Devika said.

"Wow it's too pretty and it is also matching with my lenhga so it's final, " i reply.

Like this we selected all jewelleries then everybody leave for their pending work and Devika and i leave for my room and maids are also following us with all things which we have selected.

"Siya where have to put all these things," devika ask.

"put it on the table," i said.

After putting all those things on the table, they left. Now i am with Devika.

"Siya i will also come with you to pratapgad right," suddenly she ask me.

"No, why you will come with me, you will go In your law's house after your marriage. I will talk with baba sa that they should also thing about your marriage," i tease her.

"No i will not get married, i will come with you. what i will do without you?," she said emotionally like she will cry anytime.

"Devi, i was teasing you why you are getting emotionally. Ofcourse you will come with me. I also cannot live without you," i said while hugging her.

"So you were teasing me, siya, you are very bad," she said while making a Pout.

"My cute devi, i have right to tease you," i said while pulling her cheek from both side.

Suddenly one maid came with a letter and she handed that letter to devika in my order then she left.

"Siya this is for you," devi said.

Then i unfold that letter and after reading that i got too emotional that i started to cry.

"Siya what happen why are you crying. What is in this letter?," devi ask.

"Then i hug devi. Devi this letter breaks my dream," i said.

After breaking hug she ask me "siya, you are taking about which dream".

"You know na, i was very excited to open school for women for their education regarding every topic," i said with smile.

"Yes siya, i know very well then what happen," she ask confusely.

"This letter has came from gurukul. Guru ji has approved my idea to start gurukul for women's also," i said excitedly.

"But now i am going from Sitapur so i cannot be a part of this gurukul. I will not able to teach them," i said sadly.

"Siya you gave me heart attack, i got scared that why are you crying," she said while taking long breath.

Then we spent whole time while gossiping and doing some work related to that women education policy.

"Siya now it's dinner time let's go everybody will be waiting for us," Devika said.

"Yes devi," i said while checking all papers.

"Done, let's go. i have to give them this goodnews," i said happily.

Then i left with devi for dinner. After reaching into dinning room i find everybody is already present there, may be they are waiting for me.

Attention please, i have something to share. Today i got letter from gurukul  that guru ji is ready to start school for women also, i Said.

Everybody also get happy because they know how much it matter for me.

"It's great new then we will start our work as soon as possible," bhai aa said.

"Bhai sa i don't think i will be part of this, you have to handle all things," i said with heavy hearted.

"Siya don't be sad, i will help your bhai sa," bhabhi sa said with smile.

"Yes princess, you don't get more stress about it we all will handle everything," baba sa reply.

"Come sit, now forget about it and only focus on your present. Your bhai sa will fullfill your wish," maa sa said.

Then happily we had our dinner as always with lot's of gossip then everybody left for their room because tomorrow we all have to wake up early because  roka timing is at the starting of the afternoon.

i am tossing on my bed but sleep is too far from me. Due to excitement and nervousness I am not able to sleep, tomorrow is a big day of my life. Tomorrow i am going to belong to him till my last breath.

Suddenly one idea came in my mind that let's talk with moon, star and plants in the garden. Idea is perfect but i have to wake up early so should sleep now. I don't know when i goes into my dream land.

Now it's early in the morning and i am in the temple waiting for everybody to come, today is big day of my life so i want to start with lot's of blessing. After sometime everybody came then we start aarti. After aarti i take blessing of god and every elder.

Again everybody get busy in their work and i am getting torture by many maids. One of them is Appling some fragrant oil on my hair, others doing some art on my feet with alta, doing art on my nails, Appling some pest on my face etc. I don't like this thing to do but still i am doing due to maa sa, it's her order so how can i deny.

For roka doing all these things is looking too much to me.

Finally all these things got over, i don't know how much time it has taken.

"Siya are you feeling tired," bhaibhi sa ask while entering into room with plate of food then she order everybody to leave. Now only bhaibhi sa, Devika and i are present into the room.

Bhabhi sa is all ready in blue lenhga with matching jewellery and light makeup. She is looking very pretty and beautiful.

"Bhabhi sa today you are looking hot than fire, what my bhai sa will do after seeing you," i tease her.

"I will also ask you same quation on day of your marriage then what you will reply," she said while blushing, she has got totally red.

"I don't know, let me eat first," i said then they both started to laught.

"Ok Wait, I'll feed you," bhabhi sa said and she started to feed.

"Siya i have arranged you dress and everything," Devika inform me.

"Siya now go and come fast after changing into this lenhga. You have to get ready fast, they will come any time," bhabhi sa said.

Ok bhabhi sa, i said then I left to changing room with my yellow lenhga. This lenhga is really very pretty, i love it because now it's not only lenhga for me it's love and blessings of my family.

When I came out into that yellow lenhga then bhabhi sa and devi is seeing me surprisingly.

"Siya you are looking too pretty than we thought," bhabhi sa said.

"Yes siya you are looking like a bride  only in dress, but still jewellery and makeup are remaining," Devika said.

i site on chair infront of mirror.

"Siya take a look on yourself properly in the mirror,"  bhabhi sa said.

"But why bhabhi sa and why are you covering a mirror with clothes," i ask confusely.

"Siya ye riwaj hai ki dulhan apne roke par khud ko taiyar hote huye nahi dekhti hai o khud ko taiyar hone ke badh hi dekhti hai," bhabhi sa reply with smile.

("Siya, it is a ritual that the bride does not see herself while getting ready for her Roka; she sees herself only after she is ready," Bhabhi sa reply with a smile.)

"But why bhabhi sa, what's a logic behind it," i ask our of curiosity.

"Kiyo ki tiayar hone ke pehle tak aap sirf maa, baba ki beti hai, Daksh, hamari aur devika ki pyari princess hai, sitapur ki rajkumari hai, abhi aap siya Rajput hai par jab hum aapko en sari gehne ke sath taiyar kar denge tab aap Ekansh ki hone wali patni, unke ghar ki bahu aur pratapgad ki rani hongi," bhabhi said emotionally.

("Because before getting ready you are just mother's and father's daughter, Daksha, my and Devika's beloved princess, the princess of Sitapur, now you are Siya Rajput but when we get you ready in this jewelleries then you will be Ekansh's to be wife, the daughter-in-law of his house and the queen of Pratapgad," bhabhi said emotionally.)

"Wow Bhabhi, there is a deep meaning behind this ritual," i said because i am surprise after hearing meaning of this ritual.

"Yes my princess, now you are going to be queen from princess. We will miss you soch much, how we all be able to live without you," bhabhi sa said with teary eye.

Then they started their work, devika  is braiding my hair and bhabhi sa is doing my makeup.

After sometime makeup and hair has done then In my one hand bhabhi sa is putting bangles & ring and in other hand Devika is putting bangles & ring.

After bangles they make me wear all jewelleries.

"Devika now you go and get ready. i will fix siya's dupatta and manage other things," bhabhi sa said with smile to devika.

"Ok Rani sa," after saying this she left.

Then bhabhi sa started to fix my dupatta. Now i am totally ready.

"Siya now you can see yourself in mirror," bhabhi sa said.

Ok bhabhi sa, i said excitedly.

"Ok come with me this side," she said.

"But why, bhabhi sa mirror is here so how i will see myself," i ask while making Pout and started to go with bhabhi in other corner of room.

Then bhabhi sa removed one clothe and there is huge mirror in which i can see myself from head to toe.

Before I could ask anything, Bhabhi told me that "this huge mirror is a part of ritual so that you can see yourself from head to toe because it's a ritual".

"Ooo, bhabhi sa i don't know why but this ritual is very interesting," i said.

Then i take a look on me in mirror and i am surprise to see myself, it's looking like i am seeing myself for first time. Today I am looking totally different.

That yellow lenhga is looking perfect. Whose Dupatta has pined on my shoulder.

I have worn forehead pendant, golden nuth, one small and one big necklace, earrings, thick waist chain and beautiful anklet all these are matching with my lenhga.

I have worn yellow and golden bangles and makeup is looking too natural and beautiful. Bhabhi has used red lipstick, red bindi and kohl in eye for makeup which is giving perfect look.

My feet had decurated with alta. I am totally looking like a bride today.

"Wow Bhabhi sa, aapne hame kitne achhe se taiyar kiya ki hum apne aap ko pehchan nahi aa rhe yaisa lagta hai," i said happily.

(Wow Bhabhi sa, you make me ready so well that it seems that i don't recognize myself," I side happily.)

"Siya aap hai hi itni sundar," bhabhi sa replied.

Then bhabhi sa applied kohl behind my ear to protect from evil eyes.

Then we looked maa sa, baba sa and bhai sa is standing in the door. They are looking at me emotionally then they came into room and now everybody is standing infront of me.

Then maa sa came forward and she also applied kohl behind my ear while saying "No one's evil eye should fall on my princess. Then maa sa took my hand on her hand and said "You are looking so beautiful my princess".

"Hamari nanhi si siya aaj itni bari ho gai hai ki aaj unka roka hai. Yaisa lagta hai jaise hame hamari rajkumari ne kal to apni en nanhi aakho se pehli par dekha tha jab humne inhe pehli bar apni god me liya tha," maa sa said with teary eye while getting too emotional, after hearing this I am also feeling to cry.

(Our little Siya has turned so old that today is her roka. It seems as if our princess saw me with her little eyes for the first time yesterday when I took her in my lap for the first time," maa sa said with teary eyes while getting too emotional.)





"Yes maharani sa you are saying right," while saying this baba sa also came to me and said emotionally that "hame bhi yaisa lag rha hai jaise abhi to hamari rajkumari ne hamari ungli(finger) tham ke chalna sikha tha".

("i am also feeling as our princess has just learned to walk by holding my finger.")



"Hamne bhi to abhi apni siya ko bolna sikhaya tha jab to thik se bhai sa bhi nahi bol pati thi aur hame pai sa bulati thi," bhai sa also came to me while saying this.

Then we all started to cry while hugging each other together now controlling emotion is not possible. Then bhabhi sa also hug me from side. in my one side maa sa and baba sa and in other side bhai sa and bhabhi sa. This moment is looking totally perfect like a heaven. I am feeling too lucky to have such a great family.

("I had just taught my siya how to speak, when she was not able to speak properly even bhai sa and used to call me pai sa, "brother also came to me while saying this.)

"Maa sa, baba sa now your little princess has become lionness," bhabhi sa reply with smile. Then we started to laught after breaking hug.

"My small family now has grown up," mother said with smile.

"You all forget me," suddenly we heard Devika's voice.

"No my baby how can we forget you. You are looking too pretty," mother said after putting her hand on Devika's head.

"We will never forget our devi," brother said.

Devika also has got ready in blue lenhga with matching jewellery and light makeup. she never use heavy makeup. i don't know why but may be one day she will do makeup for someone.

Suddenly i noticed one thing.

"By the way, why you all have got ready in blue," i ask because everybody has get ready in same color.

"He he he he siya, it's today's theme," bhai sa reply while laughing dramatically.

"Ohfo bhai sa you and your obsession with themes," i said because bhai sa is very possessive for theme. in any event or festival Firstly he sets theme then other things.

"By the way i am not only obsessed with theme i am also obsessed with my rani sa," bhai sa said while seeing toward bhabhi sa then he notice that we all are here.

Bhabhi sa is blushing hard then we all started to laught on their reaction.

Suddenly one maid came, "Maharani sa, guest from Pratapgarh has arrived at our place," she inform us.

Go and wait for us at the door with aarti thal," Maa sa order her then she left.

"Divya and Devika both of you bring Siya when I will call you, now we are going to welcome them," maa sa said then they also left.

Now i am with Devika and bhabhi sa.

In the other side

From pratapgad Ekansh's mother, father, uncle, aunty, prem and prisha has came for roka with 25 to 30 guards. It's ritual that Ekansh cannot come for roka.

In the door siya's mother, father and brother are waiting for them to welcome, they can arrive any time.

After sometime they all reached at door then siya's mother done arti and sprinkler rice and flower on everybody then after giving one one lotus they done welcomed them. Then they all enter into mahal and goes to living room. In the living room they have done all arrangements for them.

"First we will perform roka ritual then we will eat either wise it will late," Ekansh's mother said.

"Yes, when we will meet with our bhabhi sa," prem said with excitement.

we have waited two day to meet aur bhabhi," prisha also said with excitement.

After hearing this everybody started to laught. They are too excited now they can't wait anymore.

Ok ok hum bulwate hai aap ki bhabhi sa ko, siya's mother said while Smilling.

("Ok ok I will call your sister- in- law, Siya's mother said while Smilling. )

Then she order one maid to call siya. When After sometime divya and Devika bring siya then everybody is only seeing toward them.

Now siya has taken one portion of dupatta on her head and she is seeing toward floor due to shyness.

After reaching to them they greet everybody then siya take blessing of elders and prisha and prem came to her very happily.

"Hello bhabhi sa we are brother and sister of Ekansh bhai sa," prem introduce themself.

Siya also said Hello to them with smile.

There is no need to give introduction to everybody that who is siya because she is looking totally different from everybody.

"As you all know she is our siya and she is Divya our daughter- in -law and she is devika like our daughter," siya's mother introduce them.

"They are Ekansh's aunty and uncle and he is Ekansh's father and from prem and prisha you have already met," Ekansh's mother introduce their family.

During introduction they all greet each other.

"Bhabhi sa hum ne aapke bare me jitna suna tha aap usse kai guna jada sindar hai," prisha said to siya.

(bhabhi sa, you are much more beautiful than what we had heard about you," Prisha said to Siya.)

Thank you," siya said while Smilling, now she is not feeling shy, she is comfortable now.

"Then let's go to hall, we have done all preparation of roka ritual into the hall," siya's mother said.

Then everybody started to go then Ekansh's mother said, " Siya you come with me.

After reaching into hall Ekansh's mother make siya sit on center chair of the hall then everybody also take their place.

Ekansh's mother and aunty come forward for ritual, they are going to perform every ritual together, now they are infront of siya and everybody has sited on chair.

First they put red chunari on siya's head. ( unhone siya ko chunari odhai).Phir unhone siya ko sindur ka tika lagaya phir aarti ki aur uske upar chawal aur Phool chhirka.

(Then he applied small dot of vermilion at siya's forehead, then performed Aarti and sprinkled rice and flowers on her.)

then they put dress, jewellery and some fruits on siya's lap.

Then they started to put things aside after getting touch all things from siya's lap.They have bring lots of things such as clothes, gold and silver jewelleries, variety of sweets and fruits and some other things also. Ekansh's father, uncle and siya's father, mother are also helping them.

Then they feed sweet to siya and complete this ritual. Then siya take everybody's blessing.

Now they all have sited into dinning room for lunch then maids served them variety of sweets and dishes.

They are eating while gossiping but today siya is silent.

"Siya we have heard from your bhai sa that you can't stay silent, so why are you not saying anything. Don't be shy infront of us, now we are also your family beta," Ekansh's aunty said while Smilling.

"there is nothing like that aunty, i am not getting shy, actually I am little nervous. I am meeting you all for first time," siya reply in low tone with smile.

"Siya, don't be nervous with us now we all are one family. We will never let you fill uncomfortable with us. Now you are also our child," Ekansh's mother said in lovely tone.

"Yes bhabhi sa you will never fill bore with us," prisha said and prem also agree with her.

"You all are very sweet and lovely. I am too lucky that i am going to be part of your family," siya reply emotionally.

"No bhabhi sa, we are lucky that we are going to be part of your family and our bhai sa is too lucky than us," prem said.

"Bhabhi sa ab lunch aur roka dono ho gye to ab hum log aaram se bat kare hum dono to bas aap se milne ka intijar kar rhe the," prisha said to siya.

("bhabhi sa now both lunch and roka have done, so we can now talk comfortably. We were just waiting to meet you," Prisha said.)

"Bhabhi sa, bhai sa and Devika ji you also come with us, we will talk together," prem said to siya's bhabhi and devi.

"Yes you all go and do lots of fun. We all elders are also going to talk," Ekansh's mother said. Then All elders left for garden and every youngsters left for siya's room.

"Wow Bhabhi sa your room is so beautiful," prisha said when they entered into room.

Siya has sited on center of the bed and in her left side devika then devya and Daksh have sited, in her right side prisha and prem have sited.

Bhabhi sa, do you know to wielding a sword?, prem ask to siya.

"Yes, i know many types of it," siya reply.

"Do you like it because mostly women are not prefer to learn to use sword," prem ask.

"Yeh, you are right but i like to learn everything, that's why I have taken atleast basic knowledge about everything," siya said with smile.

"Wow Bhabhi sa i am too impress with you. Will you teach me to use sword," prisha ask.

"You have chosen very strict sword trainer because i have learnt from siya, she was very strict with me," devika said to prisha while making Pout.

"Yes that's why I did not join you," Divya said to devika while laughing.

"So Rani sa you can join me i will teach you very well," Daksh wishper in Divya's ear. after wishper no, she ignore his flirting.

"So you also know to use sword," prem ask from devika.

"Yes,I know a little, not as much as Siya because siya is export she can beat any warrior," she reply while laughing.

"Bhabhi sa, so after marriage you will not only be bhai sa’s wife but also each other’s sword fighting partner,” Prem said with a smile.

"Yes bhabhi sa, Bhai sa practices sword fighting everyday, he does it even at night, i think bhai sa is in love with his sword," prisha said innocently then after hearing her everybody started to laught and siya is not only laughing she is blushing also.

"Pita ji was right that you and Bhaisaa are alike," prisha said and prem is also agree with her.

"Tell us something about Ekansh," Divya said teasingly seeing Siya's red face. She knew very well that Siya's heart would start beating faster on hearing Ekansh's name.

"Yes, why not, our bhai sa is best brother and person in this world. He doesn't like to talk much but he loves to listen to everything we say. He mostly like to spend his time with family or in his garden," prisha Said with smile.

Siya is listening everything very carefully now her heart is beating more faster than previous.

Suddenly they heard one maid's voice, " may i come in rana sa".

Yes, come in, Daksh said.

"Maharani sa is calling you all into hall priest has arrived," she inform them, then everyone gets happy as the priest is going to tell them the wedding date. But siya is getting more nervous.

They are going into hall siya has hold Divya's hand because this moment is biggest moment of siya's life so she is too nervous.

After reaching the hall, they all also sat with everyone. Siya is still holding Divya's hand and both of them has sited together.

"Maharaj, after seeing Kundli, there is a very auspicious time for marriage after 15 days and second auspicious time after 6 month" priest said to them.

"15 days is a bit early but we want to fix the wedding date on this date, if you all don't have any problem," Ekansh's father ask from siya's family.

"Yes,it's too early but we also don't have any problem," siya's father said after taking siya's concern.

Ekansh ki maa siya ka muh meeta karati hai or use bhadhi deti hai, iswakt siya khus bhi hai aur presan bhi kiyoki use 15 din badh apne pariwar se dur jana hai. Sab kuchh itna jaldi ho rha hai isiliye o aur jada ghabra rhi hai.

Phir sab log siya ko mithai kilate hai aur badhai dete hai uski maa use hug karti hai.

Then Everyone happily fed sweets to each other while saying congratulations.

Sab se jada prem aur prisha khush hai. Ekansh ka pura pariwar khus hai aur siya se alag hone ke waja se siya ke pariwar thore dukhi hai.

We will leave tomorrow morning for pratapgad. We also have lost of work, Ekansh's father said to siya's father.

"Yes we can understand," her father said.

"Isi bahane hame hamari bahu ke sath kuchh wakta bitane ko mil jayeha," Ekansh's mother said.

like this we will get to spend some time with our daughter-in-law," Ekansh's mother said.

"After 15 days our Siya will be with you all, from now on every moment is important for us with our siya," siya's mother reply emotionally.
